Witches/Wizards

"Magic always comes with a price."

Witches or Wizards are humans who have tainted their souls by practicing magic. Magic is powerful and addictive to humans, it drives even the purest of hearts to commit the foulest of deeds. As time goes on, magic taints their souls turning it darker and darker until there is no way of redemption. Many who turn to magic do it with good intentions. Intentions on protecting their families and friends but those intentions become lost as magic corrupts their minds.

Witches and Wizards need something to conduct their magic, some use wands or staffs, others books and talismans. Much like Necromancers. However unlike the Necromancer they don't have near as much power. If witches and wizards are not careful they can become drawn into their spell and die. Constant control is needed by witches and wizards. The darker the spell the bigger sacrifice is needed. For witches and wizards are bound by their humanity.

Witches and Wizards can extend their lives to live hundreds of years if powerful enough however they do not stay young. They appear the age they are unless they have a glamor spell which makes them appear young. Witches and Wizards can be on either the side of good or darkness. It all depends on how corrupted they are.
